By accessing, registering for, onboarding to, or using services provided through BharatOne Services and Affiliates Private Limited ("BharatOne", "Company", "we", "our", or "us"), you acknowledge and expressly authorize the collection, processing, storage, use, and disclosure of information reasonably necessary for providing, operating, securing, and improving the Services.
This Consent & Authorization Statement applies to customers, merchants, retailers, franchise partners, agents, distributors, API users, business partners, and all other users interacting with the Services ("Users").
1. Consent to Information Processing
Users expressly consent to the collection, processing, storage, and use of information including, but not limited to:
- Personal information;
- Business, merchant, retailer, or franchise information;
- Transaction and operational records;
- Banking and payment information;
- Device and technical information;
- Verification and onboarding information;
- Communication and customer support records; and
- Any other information reasonably required for the provision of BharatOne Services.
Information may be processed for purposes including:
- Customer onboarding and account management;
- Identity verification and authentication;
- Service delivery and transaction processing;
- Government and financial service facilitation;
- Merchant onboarding and settlement;
- Customer support and grievance handling;
- Fraud detection and prevention;
- Platform security and risk management;
- Analytics and service improvement;
- Regulatory, legal, audit, and compliance obligations; and
- Any other lawful purpose connected with the Services.
2. Verification Authorization
Users authorize BharatOne and its authorized banking partners, payment service providers, verification agencies, government departments, and ecosystem partners to conduct reasonable verification procedures where applicable, including:
- Identity verification (KYC);
- Business verification (KYB);
- PAN, GST, Aadhaar, or other permitted identity verification;
- Bank account verification;
- Merchant due diligence;
- Account authentication;
- Transaction confirmation;
- Fraud prevention checks;
- Risk assessment; and
- Operational review processes.
Certain Services may require enhanced verification before activation, continued use, or settlement of transactions.
3. Communication Authorization
Users authorize BharatOne to send:
- One-Time Passwords (OTPs);
- Transaction alerts;
- Payment confirmations;
- Settlement notifications;
- Onboarding communications;
- Customer support responses;
- Security alerts;
- Service updates;
- Compliance notifications; and
- Promotional or marketing communications where permitted by applicable law.
Communications may be delivered through:
- SMS;
- Email;
- Telephone calls;
- WhatsApp;
- Push notifications;
- Mobile application notifications; or
- In-platform messaging.
Users may opt out of promotional communications where such opt-out is available under applicable law. Transactional, regulatory, security, and service-related communications may continue to be sent where necessary.
4. Information Sharing Authorization
Users authorize BharatOne to share information with authorized entities where reasonably necessary for:
- Service delivery;
- Transaction processing;
- Government service facilitation;
- Banking and payment processing;
- Merchant settlement;
- API integrations;
- Customer support;
- Fraud prevention;
- Verification and authentication;
- Regulatory compliance;
- Legal obligations; and
- Operational continuity.
Authorized entities may include:
- Banks and financial institutions;
- Payment aggregators and payment gateways;
- NPCI ecosystem participants;
- Government departments and public authorities;
- Telecom operators;
- Utility service providers;
- Insurance and financial service partners;
- Identity verification agencies;
- Technology and cloud infrastructure providers;
- Audit and compliance consultants; and
- Law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required under applicable law.
BharatOne does not sell or rent personal information to unauthorized third parties.
5. Data Localization
Regulated customer, financial, merchant, operational, and payment-related information maintained by BharatOne is stored and processed within India in accordance with applicable Indian laws, regulatory requirements, payment ecosystem standards, and operational policies.
Where third-party service providers are engaged, BharatOne requires them to implement appropriate confidentiality, security, and data protection measures.
6. Withdrawal of Consent
Users may withdraw certain consent permissions by:
- Discontinuing use of the Services; or
- Contacting BharatOne through its official Customer Support or Grievance Redressal channels.
Withdrawal of consent shall remain subject to:
- Pending transactions or settlements;
- Regulatory or legal retention obligations;
- Fraud prevention requirements;
- Operational dependencies;
- Contractual commitments; and
- Applicable banking or payment ecosystem requirements.
Withdrawal of consent may limit or permanently prevent access to certain BharatOne Services.
7. Relationship with Other Policies
This Consent & Authorization Statement should be read together with the following BharatOne policies and legal documents:
In the event of any inconsistency, applicable laws and the relevant governing agreement shall prevail.
